EO4DIVERSITY aims to reinforce the impact of the project outputs through its partner memberships of important biodiversity networks (e.g., the Group on Earth Observations Biodiversity Observation Network<\/a> (GEOBON), Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services<\/a> (IPBES), Committee on Earth Observation Satellites<\/a> (CEOS), NASA Surface Biology and Geology<\/a> (SBG), European Environmental Agency-European Union<\/a> (EEA), Copernicus, national and member state policy groups, etc.) as well as partnership development with eminent members of European stakeholders and an international Advisory Board (AB) comprising biodiversity experts and Early Adopters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gary Geller, NASA<\/h3>\n

Gary Geller has an M.S. in Botany and a PhD in biology; both involved modelling the physical architecture of plants and assessing the impact on temperature, water loss, and carbon update. Based at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory he has worked with the NASA Biological Diversity and Ecological Forecasting Programs for two decades, for GEO BON since its inception, and was seconded by NASA to the GEO Secretariat in Geneva as the expert in biodiversity for two years.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jocelyn Chanussot, IEEE<\/h3>\n

Dr. Chanussot is the founding President of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing French chapter (2007-2010) which received the 2010 IEEE GRS-S Chapter Excellence Award. He has received multiple outstanding paper awards. He was the Vice-President of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, in charge of meetings and symposia (2017-2019). He was the General Chair of the first IEEE GRSS Workshop on Hyperspectral Image and Signal Processing, Evolution in Remote sensing (WHISPERS). He was the Chair (2009-2011) and\u00a0 Cochair of the GRS Data Fusion Technical Committee (2005-2008). He was a member of the Machine Learning for Signal Processing Technical Committee of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (2006-2008) and the Program Chair of the IEEE International Workshop on Machine Learning for Signal Processing (2009). He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and the Proceedings of the IEEE. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing (2011-2015).\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2014 he served as a Guest Editor for the IEEE Signal Processing Magazine. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, an ELLIS Fellow, a Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association, a member of the Institut Universitaire de France (2012-2017) and a Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate Analytics\/Thomson Reuters, since 2018).<\/p>\n

He has co-authored over 250 papers in international journals, gathering 31500+ citations, with h index=78.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lucie Homolov\u00e1, CzechGlobe<\/h3>\n

Lucie has M.Sc. in Geoinformation and Remote Sensing and PhD in Production Ecology, both obtained from Wageningen University. She works as a researcher at Global Change Research Institute (CzechGlobe<\/a>) and is head of the remote sensing department since 2018. Her expertise is in linking imaging spectroscopy to vegetation traits using empirical, as well as physical methods.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
